The 4th of July this year was H.O.T.!!! We had planned on going to the Noblesville parade in the evening, but with the temperature hovering around 100 degrees most of the day, we decided to hang out at home instead. We did brave the heat in the morning though and took the kids (*it sounds weird to say “kids”!) to the splash park. Hadley seemed to enjoy it- although she didn’t quite figure out the constantly changing water pressure! She would be happily playing with a trickle of water one minute and then get sprayed in the face the next minute! I’m sure we’ll spend a lot of time at the splash park in future summers- it’s a great summer activity- just a few minutes from our house- and it’s free! After the splash park, we cooled off by going to the frozen yogurt shop. In the evening when we would have gone to the parade, we ended up grilling dinner, playing outside, and having popsicles. It didn’t feel like a holiday since the 4th landed on a Wednesday this year, but we had a wonderful, relaxing family day together!
