Engagement!

SHE SAID YES!!!

A little thing happened while we were on vacation in Aruba...Brad proposed, and Joy said YES!!!  He waited until the vacation was almost over and popped the question at Joy's (and everyone else's!) favorite restaurant (Madame Janette), where we've shared many family memories over the years.  All of the restaurant staff knew about his plans that evening and helped him pull it off.  He had also made t-shirts for the kids that said, "Today I get a new Uncle! Aruba ~ 2013"  Before we started eating, Chuck pretended like he had to change the kids' diapers and left the table with both kids, and Brad also left the table "to help".  Instead of changing diapers, they put the t-shirts on the kids and walked back to the table.  Joy had no idea what was going on, and while she tried to read Hadley's shirt, Brad walked over to her and proposed!  I can't remember his exact words, but I think it included, "Joy Elizabeth Kaplan, will you FINALLY marry me?!"  It was so cute...and we celebrated with a champagne toast- on the house!  The rest of the evening, the amazing Madame Janette staff kept congratulating them as well as other families in the restaurant who had witnessed the event.  It was a wonderful evening!!
