Gingerbread Houses

We have a tradition in the Crone Family of decorating gingerbread houses each year around Christmas. We've been doing it since my brothers and I were little kids, and we always wait until everyone is in town (off work, home from college, etc) to make them. The past several years, it has become pretty difficult to find a day when everyone is available to head home and decorate! This year, we combined the house decorating with watching the Colts vs. Jaguars game.

We actually use graham crackers for the houses. Each person gets a house and a bag of icing and then goes to work creating a masterpiece! Although it is NOT a competition, you might think otherwise while we're in the process of making them...there is a fair amount of trash talking that goes on at the table!

The finished products!

Our little village!

Hadley snoozed during most of the Colts game and house decorating. When she finally woke up, she was very alert and smiley! :)
